I made this for myself. I wanted to travel with a small bag and stop thinking so much about what to wear.
A shirt with shorts for the beach. The same shirt with long trousers for a gallery opening or a show. At home, the pieces can feel as easy as pyjamas. The place changes; the wardrobe comes with you.
Start with three sets. Wear a colour together, then try the shirt with a different pair of trousers or shorts. The drawings meet differently each time. Some days I wear the embroidered pieces with a plain white or black shirt when I want something quieter.
The idea is unisex: pieces that can pass between partners and friends when the fit works. It is about having room to choose, without having to pack a different outfit for every possible day.
Choosing what goes together is part of the work. You bring the colours, drawings and proportions into a new arrangement, then take it somewhere I could never have planned.
